The following are the results from Saturday's Strikeforce event that took place in Houston, Texas.

-Rafael Cavalcante defeated Muhammed Lawal via third-round TKO to win the light heavyweight championship.

-Ronaldo Souza def. Tim Kennedy via unanimous decision to win the middleweight championship.

-KJ Noons def. Jorge Gurgel by second-round KO.

-Chad Griggs def. Bobby Lashley by second-round TKO.

-Daniel Cormier def. Jason Riley via submission (strikes)
-Andre Galvao def. Jorge Patino via third-round TKO
-Vinicius Magalhaes def. Rocky Long via unanimous decision
-Adam Schindler def. Kier Gooch via first-round submission (rear-naked choke)
-Reynaldo Trujillo def. Jose Santibanez via first-round TKO
-Chad Robichaux def. Humberto DeLeon via split decision
-Arteneus Young def. Chad Cook via unanimous decision

Twill's Two Cents: I bet a fight with Batista sounds pretty good to Lashley at this point. He was very concerned, and rightfully so, about the lack of knowledge he had on Griggs going into the fight. One loss isn't the end of the world, but Lashley wanted to become an upper echelon fighter and a loss like this will be a huge setback in that goal.
