MMA News: UFC holding press conference to announce UFC coming to Madison Square Garden

UFC President Dana White, Owner Lorenzo Fertitta, lightweight champion Frankie Edgar and president of Madison Square Garden Sports Scott O’Neil will hold a press conference tomorrow, January 13, 2011 at 1:00pm CT to announce a plan to bring UFC to Madison Square Garden as soon as mixed-martial arts is allowed in New York. They will also release a new economic impact study on the benefits of NY allowing and regulating MMA sports.

Shore's Slant: The press release notes that the press conference will run live on UFC.com starting at 1:00 CT. NY is one of only six starts to not regulate MMA fighting, and this would be a huge boost for the sport in general and UFC in particular.
