Former WWE Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin breaks Sylvester Stallone's neck
Jan 5, 2010 - 11:41 AM

During the filming of the movie The Expendables, star Sylvester Stallone suffered a broken neck during a fight scene with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. "Actually, my fight with Stone Cold Steve Austin was so vicious that I ended up getting a hairline fracture in my neck. I'm not joking. I haven't told anyone this, but I had to have a very serious operation afterwards. I now have a metal plate in my neck."

Besides Stallone, the iconic star of the Rocky saga, the movie features Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, the recently passed away Brittany Murphy, and Stallone's Rocky IV co-star, Dolph Lundgren. To read more about the injury and movie itself, click here.

Twill's Two Cents: I'm glad to see Stallone talking about the injury as if it is something he can move forward from. Of course, a broken neck is a serious injury, so I wish him the best in his recovery. Stallone also told a humorous story about Lundgren injuring him during the shooting of Rocky IV.
