WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff are back in business with a new pro wrestling tour
Sep 10, 2009 - 10:01 AM |
Hulk Hogan is headlining the "Hulkamania - Let the Battle Begin" tour in Australia. "I have been blessed with the opportunity to perform in front of fans around the world," Hogan is quoted as saying in a press release. "I have always wanted to perform in Australia as I have heard Aussies are some of the greatest wrestling fans ever. I am grateful for this opportunity, and hope that this is just the beginning of a great thing!"
There are four dates listed for the Australian tour, which kicks off Nov. 21 in Melbourne at the Rod Laver Arena. The other advertised dates are Nov. 24 in Perth at the Burswood Dome, Nov. 26 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, and Nov. 28 in Sydney at Acer Arena. Tickets go on sale Sept. 24. Powell's POV: Hogan has toyed with the idea of running an overseas tour for years. He's the only advertised name so far and the ad doesn't mention whether he'll actually wrestle on the show. There may be a reason Hogan used the word "perform" rather than "wrestle" in his quote, but nothing is official.
We are already looking for correspondents who intend to purchase tickets and attend the shows. Contact me at dotnetjason@gmail.com if you can file reports on any of these days.
