Dragon Gate USA Vice President Gabe Sapolsky said in an interview that he did not agree with the decision to push Jerry Lynn to the ROH World Heavyweight Championship and that could have been why he was fired. "I would not have gone in the Jerry Lynn direction as ROH World Champion and that might have been one of the reasons I was fired."

He also had good things to say about C.M. Punk. "Well, there is a reason I did everything I could to keep Punk in ROH and he has proved it on Smackdown. Twill's Two Cents: Interesting news about Lynn. I was surprised ROH put the title on him as well, although I thought it was a perfectly good decision. Gabe also spoke highly of Austin Aries, but admitted he has not watched the new ROH television show.
