TNA Wrestling, Ring Of Honor, Samoa Joe, Justin Credible, Shannon Moore, and Hurricane Helms pay tribute to Japanese pro wrestling legend Mitsuharu Misawa
Jun 14, 2009 - 12:40 PM

The following comments are taken from the Twitter pages and websites of various pro wrestling personalities regarding the death of Mitsuharu Misawa, who died following an in-ring spot in Japan.

TNAwrestling.com: "TNA Wrestling is saddened to hear of the sudden and tragic loss of Misawa. He was respected around the world and he will be missed. We pass on our sincere condolences to his family and those who worked with him in Japan.

Samoa Joe: I was told Misawa passed. I'm sad and honored to have wrestled him. Ken, my condolences to you all.

Justin Credible: Wrestler died in Japan. Mitsuharu Misawa. RIP and God Bless.

Shannon Moore: RIP Misawa. My condolences go out to his family and coworkers. His legacy will live on.

Hurricane Helms: Just read about Misawa. This is very sad!

Powell's POV: It's also worth noting that ROH conducted a 10-bell tribute prior to their show at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York on Saturday night. Our correspondent described it as "easily one of the saddest things I've heard in all my years as a pro wrestling fan." Jim Ross also paid tribute in his latest blog. Here's hoping WWE acknowledges Misawa's death in some way either on the website or with a graphic on Monday's Raw show.
