Oct 19, 2013 - 09:35 AM

The Rocks Off Film Festival issued the following press release regarding the November 21-23 event that will be held in New York at Kraine Theater.

The Rocks Off Pro Wrestling Film Festival is proud to announce our fifth and final film screening as part of our first annual celebration of pro wrestling films - the 1985 cult classic I LIKE TO HURT PEOPLE!

Filmed in Detroit's Big Time Wrestling, I Like to Hurt People "documents" the attempts to stop the savage Original Sheik from destroying the Motor City, featuring wrestling legends Abdullah the Butcher, Andre the Giant, Dusty Rhodes, Terry Funk, Ox Baker, Dory Funk Jr., Dick The Bruiser, Bobo Brazil and more!  This special screening will in fact be the first time the film has ever screened theatrically in the New York City!

I LIKE TO HURT PEOPLE will screen on Saturday November 23rd at 1:15 PM (doors 1 PM) with a special high quality print direct from the film's owners!

Powell's POV: That's quite the lineup of films and special events. It looks like it will be a great time for fans who live in the area and are able to attend. The pricing is certainly affordable and I can't see how you could pass up on this event if you live in the area and a fan of pro wrestling and films. If you attend, you are encouraged to send a recap of your experience to dotnetjason@gmail.com.
