Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson discusses his role in "Witch Mountain"
Jul 19, 2008 - 12:08 PM

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson hyped Witch Mountain in an interview with IGN.com. "I said for a long time that I didn't want to go back into the action genre unless it was intense action that really played well, like what Greengrass did with the Bourne films and what Campbell did with the latest Bond movie. Not that this film is similar in tone to those films, because it's not, but the action is really driven. It's intense. And it's funny too!" To read more comments on his role in the movie, click here. [Thanks to Dot Net reader Chris Glavin]

Powell’s POV: It's amazing how quickly Johnson went from being labeled the next big action movie star to purposely moving away from the genre. He's definitely gunning for more serious roles and appears well on his way toward becoming a major star in Hollywood.

Did Sting winning the TNA Title with help from Kevin Nash enhance your enjoyment of the BFG PPV or make you want to order the replay?
Yes. The interference didn't bother me enough to take away from the show or the title change.
No. The finish was a letdown and I'm tired of cheap finishes.
