Pro wrestling manager Sir Oliver Humperdink dead at age 62
Mar 20, 2011 - 11:48 AM |
Pro wrestling manager Sir Oliver Humperdink (a/k/a John Sutton) died overnight at age 62 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He had been battling cancer and declined to undergo chemotherapy. You can read a story on his career and passing at Slam.canoe.ca.
Powell's POV: Our deepest sympathies to Sutton's family and friends. He began working in the business as an usher at the Minneapolis Auditorium back in the mid-sixties, and he went on to have a successful run as a manager, which included a stop in WWE.
