Jim Kettner, the promotor of the East Coast Wrestling Association (ECWA), has retired after 43 years in the business. Kettner's farewell to his fans is below. For more information, head over to ECWAprowrestling.com.
The ECWA is known for many quality talents that have come through the promotion over the years, where Kettner had a hand in training and honing their skills. Men like Charlie & Russ Haas, Christopher Daniels, Bryan Danielson, Billy Kidman, Steve Corino, Christian, Simon Diamond, and Test as well as hosting appearances by some of the bigger name talents.
"After 43 years, I am leaving the ECWA, effective immediately. The promotion has been turned over to Mike Tartaglia and Joe Zanolle. They are great guys and I hope you will continue to support the ECWA shows at the Greater Newark Boys' & Girls' Club as they carry on the rich traditions of the promotion. My many thanks to everyone. It's been a great 43 years with the ECWA.
Best wishes, Jim Kettner"
Twill's Two Cents: Both Jason and I have heard nothing but good things about Kettner. He made it clear he wanted to go out without fanfare. Sounds like a very classy guy.
