Former valet Nickla Roberts was featured in Mike Mooneyham's Charleston Post and Courier column on Sunday and revealed how she received her wrestling nickname. "Baby Doll was the name of Tully’s (Blanchard) favorite strip club in San Antonio,” Roberts said. “Because my first name is Nickla, a lot of people just don’t get that right. A lot of the guys were calling me Baby Doll anyway, so it just kind of fit.”

Roberts also revealed that she wasn't fond of the Andrea The Giant name she was given in World Class. "I hated that because Andre and I were really, really good friends," she said. "I felt that it was a dis on Andre. I really didn’t like it. Andrea The Lady Giant wasn’t very feminine or girly." To read the full interview, visit PostandCourier.com.

Powell's POV: A fun feature story for anyone who saw Roberts in the World Class or WCW Saturday Night era. The story also reveals what she's up to these days, and which valet she considered "dumb." Most importantly, she still possesses the infamous envelope that supposedly contained incriminating photos of Dusty Rhodes for a storyline that never played out.
