The granddaughter of AWA promoter Verne Gagne and the daughter of Greg Gagne charged with a sex crime

Gail E. Gagne, the granddaughter of AWA promoter Verne Gagne, has been charged with two counts of third degree sexual conduct with a student at Cretin-Derham Hall high school in St. Paul, Minn. The Star Tribune reports that Gagne worked as a weight room supervisor at the school in the summer of 2008.

Gagne is accused of having sexual contact with an 18 year-old male student. She also worked as a substitute teacher at the school. Both charges are felonies and are punishable by up to 15 years in prison each. Gagne's lawyer has said she intends to plead not guilty and stand trial. Powell's POV: The name of the male student has not been released. Cretin is the same school that produced MLB MVP Joe Mauer, Dave Winfield, and Paul Molitor among other sports greats. My girlfriend also went to school there, but she's not a very good hitter.
