WWE legend Sean "X-Pac" Waltman told TMZ that he lost so much blood after tearing his anus during Jerry Lynn's retirement match on Saturday in Minneapolis that he nearly died. The story states that Waltman didn't notice the blood at first, finished the match, and felt that something was wrong at the after part when he noticed the pool of blood in his singlet. Waltman called for an ambulance and eventually underwent a sphincteroplasty. You can view a video of how Waltman suffered the injury at TMZ.com.

Powell's POV: Here are some additional details on the timeline. Waltman was a bloody mess after the match and sat on a towel while going from the show to the after party. He was encouraged by friends at the after party to go to the hospital, but he did not feel it was necessary at the time. He asked to leave the after party early and was taken back to his hotel, yet he still didn't feel like a hospital visit was necessary. After bathing at the hotel, he determined that he was still bleeding and called for an ambulance sometime after 2:00 a.m. By the way, that's longtime announcer Mick Karch on the play-by-play in the video that accompanies the TMZ story.
