Rocks Off Pro Wrestling Film Festival adds a fifth film featuring Abdullah the Butcher, Andre the Giant, Dusty Rhodes, Terry Funk, and more

The Rocks Off Film Festival issued the following press release regarding the November 21-23 event that will be held in New York at Kraine Theater.

The Rocks Off Pro Wrestling Film Festival is proud to announce our fifth and final film screening as part of our first annual celebration of pro wrestling films - the 1985 cult classic I LIKE TO HURT PEOPLE!

Filmed in Detroit's Big Time Wrestling, I Like to Hurt People "documents" the attempts to stop the savage Original Sheik from destroying the Motor City, featuring wrestling legends Abdullah the Butcher, Andre the Giant, Dusty Rhodes, Terry Funk, Ox Baker, Dory Funk Jr., Dick The Bruiser, Bobo Brazil and more!  This special screening will in fact be the first time the film has ever screened theatrically in the New York City! 

I LIKE TO HURT PEOPLE will screen on Saturday November 23rd at 1:15 PM (doors 1 PM) with a special high quality print direct from the film's owners!

THURSDAY 11/21: OPENING NIGHT

SATURDAY 11/23: A FULL DAY OF PROGRAMMING!

11 AM - Special NYC screening of Adam Backer's Sadermania documentary, looking at the close friendship between Hulk Hogan and his top fan, Chris Sader as they both face tragedies in their respective families together. To order tickets, click here.

4 PM - Special screening of ECW documentary Barbed Wire City, looking at the rise and fall of what was one of pro wrestling's most unique sub-cultures and the lasting mark the promotion made on fans and performers, good and bad. Directors & Producers Kevin Keirnan and John Philapavage as well as a number of ECW personalities, will be in attendance for a post-screening Q&A and discussion. For screening tickets, click here.

8 PM - NYC debut of Cody Knotts' Pro Wrestlers vs. Zombies as Roddy Piper, Kurt Angle, Matt Hardy, Terry Funk, Shane Douglas and more face off against an army of darkness. Powell's POV: That's quite the lineup of films and special events. It looks like it will be a great time for fans who live in the area and are able to attend.
