Police are investigating allegations that a member of crash victim John Graziano's family left threatening voicemails with the Hogan family, a Clearwater, Florida police spokesperson told the St. Petersburg Times. "Does the family take it seriously," asked attorney Morris Weinberg? "Yes, they do." To read the full story, visit TampaBay.com. [Thanks to Dot Net reader Jagger K.]

Powell’s POV: "Whatcha gonna do, brother, when the Grazianos run wild on you?" OK, I'm guessing the alleged threat didn't go quite like that. You can't blame the Hogans for contacting the police if they feel they were being threatened. Then again, it's been about 24 hours since they received any media attention, so perhaps they were just lonely and looking for some TMZ love.

Let this be a lesson to all you potential psychos out there. If you're going to threaten someone, don't do it via voicemail. Text messages aren't any better. I'm a big believer in the old school format of cutting individual letters out of magazines and then piecing them together to form words and sentences like, "I'm going to tie you to a chair, pin your eyes open, and force you to watch 'Brooke Knows Best' repeatedly." The show hasn't even debuted yet, but I guarantee that threat will still scare the hell out of anybody.
