NWA News: Best of Seven series for NWA World Heavyweight Championship announced, first match stipulation confirmed

The NWA has announced a Best of Seven series for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship between current champion Colt Cabana and former champion Adam Pearce. The series is named "Seven Levels of Hate," and each match will feature a stipulation. Adam Pearce has also said his career is on the line too

The first match will be May 13 in Glendale, California at NWA Hollywood and will be First Blood Match. You can keep track of the series at NWAWrestling.com.

Shore's Slant: The single biggest feud I remember as a kid was the best of seven series between Magnum TA and Nikita Koloff for the United States Championship. It launched both men to mega star status, and put Magnum in line for the NWA World Championship. I have no idea if Pearce and Cabana can produce that level of intensity (and I have personal issues with the Colt Cabana character being in a first blood match), but it will be interesting to see what they can do.
