Misc News: Documentary on the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (GLOW) to premier at April 27

A documentary entitled GLOW: The Story of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling will make its debut at the Hot Docs Canadian Documentary Film Festival on April 27. The film looks back on the all women's promotion that ran a syndicated TV show from 1986 to 1990. Shore's Slant: I was 11 years old when Glow started and 15 when it ended. Did I watch? You bet your sweet ass I did! The promotion was something wildly different and the young storyteller in me understood that what they were doing was working. I don't remember the craziness that the preview shows, but I am looking forward to seeing this film.
