Lex Luger says that small victories in his life these days include showering and shaving on his own and standing each day. "I was one of the strongest guys on the planet," Luger told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution of his wrestling days. "I was freaky strong before. I was bench-pressing 450 pounds my senior year of high school. I was a freak. Now I can't lift a one-pound dumbbell."
Luger is living in a one-bedroom apartment across from the hospital where he undergoes therapy from the severe spinal injury he endured and from the double hip replacement he had in February. To rad the full story on Luger, visit AJC.com.
Powell’s POV: Luger's change in attitude is amazing. I've yet to read a single interview in which he indicates that he feels any pity for himself. If you haven't been following his story, I think his approach to his medical issues will surprise you.
