Former WWE and TNA wrestler Kip James's (a/k/a Monty Sopp) alleged affair fallout has made the Winnipeg Sun newspaper. Kip's alleged mistress Deborah Simmons claims she was merely looking for a way out of the relationship. "I really don't have a full explanation for what I did," Simmons said. "I just wanted out of the relationship. Really, the only way I could think of getting out was for him to hate me."
Meanwhile, James's wife Paula has claimed on Facebook that Simmons is upset over being rejected and is seeking "five minutes" of fame. She has denied claims that she threatened Simmons's life, but does admit to sending a text in which she said she wishes that Simmons would die in a fiery car crash. Powell's POV: Posting countless Youtube videos of recorded conversations and then posting additional videos discussing the matter doesn't quite qualify as trying to get out of a relationship. As previously noted, I don't condone James's behavior, but Simmons showed no genuine compassion for the part she played in potentially ending a marriage during the video that I watched.
Oddly enough, she says she is seeking an apology from James for what she feels was rotten treatment near the end of their relationship. She claims that once she gets the apology, she will stop posting audio, photos, etc. How much material does she have?
When reached for comment, James got overly excited and stumbled over his words before falling back on the old reliable "I've got two words for you" routine. Wait, that didn't actually happen. I didn't reach out to James for comment. Rather, I was just having flashbacks to every Kip James promo I've seen since the DX days.
