Hulk Hogan claims a celebrity prevented him from committing suicide, says ex-wife Linda Bollea is an abusive alcoholic

Hulk Hogan's new book will include a story about when he hit rock bottom and consumed "a cocktail of Xanax and rum," according to a CNN.com story. Hogan stated that former "American Gladiators" co-star Laila Ali made a phone call to him that night that ultimately saved his life.

Hogan also states that former wife Linda Bollea is an abusive alcoholic who once threatened to beat Nick Bollea with a wine bottle. He claims there were times when Linda had outbursts while filming "Hogan Knows Best" reality show for VH1. "There were plenty of times when Linda would lose it, but no one wanted to see that kind of ugliness," Hogan writes in the book. You can read the full story at CNN.com. Powell's POV: Sad story from The Hulkster, who has indicated in recent interviews that he's in a better place these days. One can only hope that his comments regarding Linda don't lead to another round of legal disputes.
