Kurt Angle, Kevin Nash, Jake Roberts, and Dallas Page are among the finalists for the starting role in "Hey Dude," a television pilot that focusses on the life of a former professional wrestler, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Mick Foley was originally slated to play the lead character, but he backed out when he accepted the color commentator position on Smackdown. The other candidates for the lead role are Jon Bon Jovi, Dee Snyder (Twisted Sister), and Rupert Boneham ("Survivor").

Powell's POV: Bon Jovi as a retired wrestler? Really? I know he and Chris Jericho have the same hair stylist, but that still seems like a stretch. The story notes that Nash appears to be the favorite and that Snyder is next in line. I reported over the weekend that Angle is serious about launching an acting career.
