Former WWE Diva Dawn Marie appeared on the Between The Ropes radio show on Tuesday and discussed her attempts to secure an affordable insurance plan for pro wrestlers. "Our five-year goal was to have healthcare insurance that's affordable - a group rate insurance policy. We're right now just signing off on it. We're 90 percent, 80 percent there. We're hoping to be able to launch it in two months...

"It will have different level of healthcare depending on what they could afford. It's going to be on a discounted group rate. There will be no preexisting conditions unless they were terminal, and we're also working on a disability program." To listen to the full interview, visit BetweenTheRopes.com.

Powell's POV: It would be a major coup if Dawn could pull this off and help wrestlers find affordable healthcare. It's been discussed by many for years, but she's stepping up and doing something about it. She also mentioned that Wrestler's Rescue will be holding a cruise next year in which fans can hang out with her, Scott Hall, Sean Waltman, Dallas Page, and a slew of other wrestlers.
