Arda Ocal of the Baltimore Sun spoke with former WCW announcer Tony Schiavone at a fan event. You can see the video at http://youtu.be/NFqZn-q6DeQ. Highlights include:

-His thoughts on the infamous moment where he spoiled Mankind's championship victory on Nitro and fans switched to watch it on Raw. "I would have turned the channel. People want to see a title change."

-The recent run-in he had with CM Punk at his radio station.

-His career highlight of calling his first match at Madison Square Garden with Lord Alfred Hayes.

-Why he decided to move on from Pro Wrestling after the sale of WCW. "I wanted to pursue [a job in WWE] because I had a family, but my wife said, 'Now's the chance to get out of it. Why don't you take it?' SO I did."

Shore's Slant: That was a cool moment for me if nothing else because Schiavone was the voice I most remember as a kid coming up on Jim Crockett Promotions and WCW. It seemed by the end of the interview he was tired of talking about wrestling, but he was at a wrestling event so maybe it's just coming across wrong on the video.
