Commission doctor won't let Ken Shamrock fight Kimbo Slice, replacement main event announced

Ken Shamrock suffered a cut over his left eye while rolling on the mat with a training partner on Saturday. The cut required multiple stitches and the commission doctor would not clear Shamrock to fight Kimbo Slice in the advertised main event of the Elite XC show. Slice will instead face Seth Petruzelli in the replacement main event.

Powell's POV: Weak. Total letdown. Frank Shamrock, who is working as a color commentator, stated during the broadcast that his brother never does that type of training on the day of a fight. Frank openly questioned what Ken was thinking. Ken was apologetic during a backstage interview. He stated several times that he was willing to fight and still wants to fight Kimbo in the future.
