Brock Lesnar's UFC fight with Mark Coleman is off

Brock Lesnar needs a new opponent for his August 9 fight in Minnesota. UFC announced on Thursday that scheduled opponent Mark Coleman is out with knee injury. A note on the UFC website reports that Lesnar's opponent will be announced "shortly."

Powell's POV: This will upset the hardcore UFC fans more than the casual fans who were going to order the pay-per-view based primarily on the novelty of seeing Lesnar fight again. It shouldn't make any difference as far as the live gate goes because the Minneapolis fans are paying for the combination of seeing Lesnar's homecoming and UFC's debut in market.
