Actor Armin Amiri told Gawker.com that his father was arrested in Iran for helping his son escape the country 20 years ago. "They came and picked him up at 7:30 in the morning, and basically they were asking about me because of my role in The Wrestler, Amiri said.
"They were saying I was a traitor, and also because of my playing a gay character [in Factory Girl], the F-word got thrown around a couple times." Amiri's father was eventually released. You can read the full story at Gawker.com.
Powell's POV: I believe Iron Sheik said it best when he told the world, "Iran number one. Russia number one. USA? Hack ptooey."
