Masked Republic issued a press release to announce that it will distribute Mexico's AAA promotion's one-hour "Lucha Libre" in HD worldwide. "For many years now we have known that our fans all over the world have been waiting to see AAA on their televisions, and that fans of wrestling who have not yet been exposed to our product will gravitate to it once they see what we have to offer," said AAA President Marisela Pena.

"We are happy to be working with Masked Republic, a company that understands both the world of lucha libre and the foreign television landscape. This is a great new opportunity both for AAA and fans of lucha libre around the world."

Powell's POV: Dot Net has also learned that Masked Republic will also be distributing the AAA animated movie "AAA La Pelicula: Sin Limite En El Tiempo" including the 1st ever English distribution of the film which was released in theaters in Mexico in 2011.

Kevin Kleinrock of Masked Republic expects that version to become a cult hit among wrestling fans thanks in part to some hilarious changes that the studio thought would better fit the English speaking audience. For example gone from the Charly Manson character is a name which references the infamous Cult leader, but with a face still painted like Marilyn Manson, his name has become Johnny Emo.
