DGUSA Open the Golden Gate
Santa Maria, California
Report by Dot Net contributor Zack Zimmerman (via friend who attended)

1. Samuray del Sol defeated EITA. Described as a great match.

2. Brian Cage beat Ray Rosas. After the match, Cage joined The Scene stable with Caleb Konley, Scott Reed, and Larry Dallas.

3. Chuck Taylor defeated AR Fox and Jon Davis. This was an Evolve records match. Davis was out first and Chuckie won with the Awful Waffle on Fox.

4. The Jimmys (Ryo Saito and Jimmy Susumu) defeated Freedom Gate Champion. Described as an awesome tag team match, as DGUSA has become known for.

Jon Davis destroyed some enhancement wrestlers.

5. The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) defeated D.U.F. (Sami Callihan and Arik Cannon). Lots of brawling throughout this match and it featured roughly 5000 kicks to the face.

The crowd was said to be asleep at this point. Lots of kids being in attendance may be partially to blame. The crowd reaction and response seems to be a recurring problem at DGUSA shows despite solid in-ring action.

6. John Morrison beat Akira Tozawa. Morrison won with Starship Pain. This one went about 30 minutes and Morrison came to work. The action, along with Morrison's popularity, brought the crowd back to life. Definitely a match to check out when it's up on WWNLive.com.

I will be back with full reviews of Saturday's DGUSA Revolt! iPPV and Sunday's Heat iPPV.
