Kester's WWE Raw Rundown: John Cena overcomes Ryback, Dolph Ziggler gets a credible victory, and Undertaker and Team Hell No vs. The Shield

John Cena and Ryback

Ryback's turn last week was handled well, but there was a moment in his pretaped promo that gave me a great deal of pause. When he delivered the "Ryback Rules" like, it became readily apparent that WWE didn't completely think his turn through and just gave him something generic and hoped that it would stick. That's understandable; they were reeling from The Rock's injury and had to come up with new feuds on the fly.

Unfortunately, that generic line isn't going to help Ryback get over as a heel and neither is Cena not taking Ryback seriously as a threat. WWE fans have already been conditioned to know that Cena is stronger than the rest of the roster, and no amount of Ryback claiming that he is the greatest threat to Cena's championship ever will work if he is so easily overcome.

Undertaker and Team Hell No vs. The Shield

This match was simply fun. It was a great treat for the live crowd to have Undertaker wrestling on Raw again, and everyone involved did their best to put on a show. Without a doubt, this could and should have served as the show's main event.

Team Hell No was great this night. They haven't received a lot of air time in recent months for their brand of humor, but it was on full display Monday and what they delivered was enjoyable. While there are many people that are ready for WWE to move the belts off of this team, they still have some life left in them as a pairing.

Dolph Ziggler

It's good to see Ziggler get a solid win. He needs more victories like this if he's going to be staying in the main event scene for any length of time.

On a more personal note, I really enjoyed this match. The pacing and the work rate on display, coupled with the story being told in the ring, was everything I ask out of a good, entertaining wrestling match. If Ziggler is allowed to wrestle to his fullest abilities, then he could easily become a fixture for WWE's PPVs.

Overall Show

I enjoyed this week's Raw. It still hit some of the dull points as every Raw has since the inception of the three-hour format, but there was enough there to keep the show entertaining.
