James Storm and Sting vs. Bully Ray and Bobby Roode

This was a good match that told a good story that happened to end terribly. The title picture in TNA has been quite muddled as of late, and seeing Bobby Roode tap out to the Scorpion Deathlock did nobody any favors. It just made Bobby Roode look week, but it did nothing for the other men involved in the match.

Taz worried me a bit when he mentioned Abyss during this match. A fatal four way with a special guest enforcer already screams for shenanigans and the added plug for a wrestler that has been off of TV for a month just creates an atmosphere with

Hulk Hogan and Garett Bischoff face off with Gunner and Eric Bischoff

Alright, I don't have an issue with a promoter's son getting a push. My problem is when that promoter's son does not have the mic or wrestling skill to back up the push he's getting, yet everyone in a company is supposed to act like he's the next greatest thing, which is exactly what is running rampant in TNA with the Garett Bischoff storyline.

It's a lot like working in an office. If you bust your ass day in and day out to get a promotion, a raise, or even a simple positive yearly evaluation, and then the boss's son shows up and gets the corner office. That never leads to an office full of employees respecting the boss' son, and the type of push Garett Bischoff is getting is not going to endear him to anyone. It's a shame, too, because if he was given proper development and his own background and character, a lot of this ill will could easily be avoided.

I am becoming pretty violently opposed to seeing Hulk Hogan on my television set. I can completely respect the fact that the London crowd adored him and he got plenty of cheers, but his promos about how TNA is on the cusp of being great are unwelcome. TNA just had two weeks' worth of a white hot crowd in a jam-packed arena and it featured a great deal of good wrestling. TNA is already great. It's not WWE, but that shouldn't be its goal. It is its own form of greatness because it just managed to deliver a great experience to a very loyal set of fans.

TNA obviously has its set of problems, but it has delivered a better product recently and it does not need Hulk Hogan undermining all of that and that's exactly what I feel like Hogan's efforts did on both overseas shows.

Magnus and Samoa Joe face off with Matt Morgan and Crimson

I'm not sure what TNA is attempting to get out of this feud. TNA has tried desperately to make Magnus and Samoa Joe heels and Matt Morgan and Crimson faces, but the fans just do not seem to be buying it. Morgan and Crimson come off as very unlikeable, where as Joe and Magnus have been getting a great reaction. Magnus' solid promo only solidified my views that TNA would be better off turning the wrestlers to match the fan's reactions.

I'd be all for Morgan and Crimson dropping the straps so they can move on to whatever they are going to do with one another. I can't say I am very enthused by another Morgan/Crimson match, but Crimson's undefeated streak has made the tag team titles more stagnant than ever.

Christopher Daniels vs. AJ Styles

This was a very well-wrestled match that told a good story. Daniels and Styles obviously have plenty of chemistry and the story they have told so far has been entertaining.

I'm looking forward to the next progression of this story when Kazarian faces Styles at Against All Odds. Kazarian vs. Styles could very well be the best-wrestled match on the card.

Austin Aries vs. Douglas Williams vs. Alex Shelley

This was another solid match. I was surprised to see Williams return to soon after his beatdown from Gunner, but it was a nice treat for the London crowd to see their hometown boy.

Aries taking the first pin he has in a while makes sense. Shelley is one of the more credible threats to Aries' championship reign, and giving him a clean pin is good hook going into the PPV.

Overall Show

Last night's show was a bit of a letdown for me. There was far too much Garrett Bischoff and the show was obviously more for the local audience than it was for the TNA viewers at home. There's really no problem with that approach considering the fact that they were in front of the hottest and largest crowd TNA has ever seen, but the show had trouble holding my attention. As a go-home show for the Against All Odds PPV this weekend, I feel like this was not what TNA needed to deliver. Still, all of that being said, the London crowd was so hot that it made up for a lot of the show's faults, and TNA is going to miss that atmosphere when they return to the Impact Zone for this Sunday's PPV.
