Kester's WWE Hell in a Cell Preview and Predictions: Triple-threat Hell in a Cell match for the WWE Championship, Mark Henry vs. Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Championship, and Sheamus vs. Christian
Oct 1, 2011 - 04:50 PM |
By Ryan Kester
The following predictions are made with no inside knowledge or clairvoyance as to what the finishes will be. They are predictions made based on what WWE has done and what I think they will do.
John Cena vs. C.M. Punk vs. Alberto Del Rio in a Triple-Threat hell in a Cell match for the WWE Championship: John Cena just won the WWE title back, and I do not think that WWE will move the title off of him this quickly. I expect it to be another month before we see the culmination of whatever John Laurinaitis has been up to, so I expect to see Cena retain the title here.
Prediction: John Cena pins Alberto Del Rio and retains the WWE Championship.
Mark Henry vs. Randy Orton in a Hell in a Cell match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Look to this match to steal the show. Henry has proven he can be a good foil to Orton's offense, and Orton can make Henry's offense look devastating. WWE has done right by Henry so far, and I expect that o continue with another clean win for Henry.
Prediction: Mark Henry defeats Randy Orton and retains the title.
Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix for the WWE Divas Championship: Either Beth Phoenix is getting the title here, or WWE will just bury her completely. No matter what the outcome of this match will be, Beth will need to be rebuilt after being unable to back up her threats for the past couple of months. If Kelly Kelly wins again, it had better be with something other than a roll-up, or WWE will just prove to everyone that they can't be bothered with giving any creative through to the Divas division.
Prediction: Beth Phoenix defeats Kelly Kelly and becomes the new Divas Champion.
Sheamus vs. Christian: Normally with this sort of match-up I would call for Christian to get the win with some nefarious means to continue their feud, but I don't think that's the direction we'll be getting after the PPV. As I predicted earlier, I think Orton is going to get destroyed, and I think this match will set up Sheamus' run for the title. Therefore, I expect Sheamus to go over in a decisive fashion.
Prediction: Sheamus defeats Christian.
Sin Cara vs. Sin Cara: This is the easiest one to predict, as it's obvious Sin Cara is going over. I get the feeling WWE is behind this storyline, so I imagine the heel Sin Cara will get the win so that the feud can continue.
Prediction: Sin Cara defeats Sin Cara. More specifically, the heel version of the character gets the win.
