The following predictions are made without any future knowledge or crystal balls or anything else that would make the results of tonight's PPV known to me.

The Rock and John Cena vs. The Miz and R-Truth: Despite the spectacle of The Rock's return and how charismatic he is, this is probably the storyline with the least possible build heading into this show. No one has any reason to believe that Miz and Truth can win this match without some sort of unexpected events taking place, and that's exactly what I see happening on this show.

John Cena walks out on The Rock, leading to a double team victory for The Miz and R-Truth.

Mark Henry vs. Big Show for the World Heavyweight Championship: Mark Henry is the reason to watch WWE right now. His performances and his character have been a pleasure to take in. He's the only true heel Main Event talent right now, and he has outclassed everyone in delivering entertaining experiences on WWE TV. Big Show has done well since his return, but he doesn't have near the momentum that Henry has, so I see no reason for him to go over here. I think Henry goes over, and goes over strong, and he'll probably kick Daniel Bryan's ass too if he decides to get involved.

Mark Henry defeats Big show to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

Alberto Del Rio vs. C.M. Punk for the WWE Title: This match is a conundrum for me. I like both guys in the match for different reasons, but I don't really feel invested at all in this feud. Punk has been excellent on the mic in tearing down Del Rio, but it has been a double edged sword insofar as he has turned Del Rio into a complete clown. Del Rio hasn't held up his end of the bargain on the mic, and the feud has fizzled as a result. I don't think WWE needs to move the title now, as they have another event in Chicago coming up that would seem to be the perfect place for the next Punk era to begin.

Alberto Del Rio defeats C.M. Punk via shenanigans to retain the WWE Championship.

Team Orton vs. Team Barrett in a Survivor Series Tag Match: I think this match will soak up a good chunk of time in the middle of the Survivor Series Card, and deliver some fun if not meaningless action. Team Barrett is a collection of rising star heels that will have an opportunity to show what kidn of chemistry they can develop with big name babyfaces like Sheamus and Orton. The go home Smackdown showed that it's pretty well decided that Orton and Sheamus will walk out of this the winners, so I guess the best we can hope for is inspired performances from younger wrestlers.

Team Orton defeats Team Barrett with Orton and Sheamus surviving.

Dolph Ziggler vs. John Morrison for the WWE United States Championship: Zack Ryder has been petitioning and calling his exclusion from this match the “Manhattan Screwjob” on twitter, and I think he has good reason too. He deserves to be in this match, and I hope they add him to make this an interesting Triple Threat as a bonus. If they do, I can see Ryder winning. If they don't, it won't hurt my feelings, as Morrison and Ziggler have proven they can deliver an excellent match. Ziggler is truly one of the best wrestlers in the company, and if they don't add Ryder I see him winning emphatically.

Dolph Ziggler defeats John Morrison to retain his US Championship.

Beth Phoenix vs Eve for the WWE Diva's Championship: This match should be serviceable. Both women are great athletes and showed last month that they can put on an entertaining match. The Lumberjill stipulation definitely favors Eve, who doesn't have nearly as many enemies as Beth, but I don't think it will change the outcome of the match. They have a good thing going with Beth of they are prepared to commit to it, and I don't see Eve being the Diva to knock off her crown.

Beth Phoenix pins Eve to retain her WWE Divas Championship.
