Dot Net Reader Blog: Thoughts on Ric Flair, John Cena, McMahon family, Paul London, Brian Kendrick, Matt Hardy, Ashley Massaro, Tommy Dreamer

Let's get right to it shall we?

Ric Flair
Folks, it's time to stop gasping in disbelief when he isn't advertised or featured on WWE programming. The man simply has been out of favor since the late '90s. If he couldn't catch a break in WCW—the hell he's going to get it in WWE. If he's appearing to promote that new DVD—then I hope he gets a ton of air time. He'll earn additional income and there's nothing wrong with that. Lord knows most people need it in this economy.

And speaking of which...don't feel bad for Ric's finance business. Lending and finance is taking a tremendous hit. It was terrible timing. Many people have failing businesses before they land the successful one. From one small business owner to another—here's to Ric in the hopes that he isn't discouraged and keeps on plugging away.

John Cena
While I don't love his promos, there's tremendous value in his character and presence within the company. WWE is smart for featuring him. We know he's a workhorse in and out of the ring. His merchandise sales are tremendous. It's smart business. Don't sweat his dialogue. He's a company man—and he's following direction. With his income—would you question marching orders? Think about that one.

Paul London
Let's hope that my previous blog about him comes to fruition. I see the seeds were already planted this week on Raw. Thank you for making use of an extremely talented individual.

Brian Kendrick
Another guy I am thankful for getting a renewed push.

Ashley Massaro
I don't think anyone should be judging what this person did or didn't do in the past. We watch a "character" on television and nothing more. Let's rise above the gossip and not speculate on this woman's personal life.

McMahon Family
Get off WWE Programming for 12 months. See Blog #4 for specifics. Enough said.

Ted DiBiase/Cody Rhodes
Needs work, will do well. If Jim Duggan is where they're headed, get another legend to put him with and not Holly. I think a DiBiase/Rhodes/Orton trio is the next logical step.

Matt Hardy
This guy needs a storyline and some serious momentum fast. He's got a ton of charisma and a hardcore work ethic. Get him involved. Don't banish him or that title to ECW. Do something. And don't tell me these random four-way matches and one-off ratings pops are "something." They're not. Stop throwing me bones and give me some friggin meat. Drop the U.S. Title to a Smackdown guy and let him chase Mark Henry for the ECW belt. It's that simple.

Tommy Dreamer
i was too busy in college enjoying myself to follow ECW in its heyday but I know there's still mileage and value to Tommy Dreamer. Either consistently build him up as a lovable ECW Original who takes the majority of lumps for the "faces" or get him off TV. His little alliance with Colin Delany is a nice, small story. My hats off to the writers for going the extra mile with that.

Alright, I feel a rant coming on—dedicated solely to TNA—but it's going to be in Issue No. 6. Grab a snack and look for it shortly.
