12/26 WWE in Chicago results: A second report on C.M. Punk vs. The Shield in a handicap match, The Wyatt Family vs. Daniel Bryan and The Uso Brothers in an elimination cage match, A.J. Lee gives herself a gift

WWE Live Event
Chicago, Illinois
Report by Dot Net reader Matthew Magnusson

1. Dolph Ziggler defeated Ryback. Ziggler won with a roll up. Very entertaining match that went back and forth the entire time. Great match to start the night.

Bad News Barrett talked about how Chicago is called the Windy City and how it was funny that Derrick rose blew out his knee again.

2. Natalya defeated A.J. Lee (w/Tamina) in a non-title match. A.J. got on the mic and said it's the holidays so I'm not defending this championship. Let me note this match was excellent. I wish there was high quality Diva matches like this on TV. Tamina got on the ropes and got into it with Natalya, which made Lee try to run into her. However, Lee ran into Tamina, which set up the Sharpshooter for the win.

Holiday edition of Miz Tv. Miz got in the mic and said "how dare you forget my couch, my carpet, and my M logo." He brought out Kofi Kingston. (Both were in wrestling attire so a match seemed to be in the works). Miz asked Kofi what his problem is with him. Kofi said Miz started it when he dropped down off the apron and walked away like the coward he is. Here's the Reallys. Miz said the reason he doesn't like him is because he's jealous that he made it to the main event scene and Kofi has not. Miz said Kofi is just mediocre. Kofi talked about how he put a scar on Miz head and he's gonna do it again. He said he would smash his face in like the Chicago bears are gonna smash the Green Bay Packers. Vickie Guerrero came out complaining that this is her show. The boos were so loud!!!! Miz kept telling Vickie to speak up since Chicago was booing her so loud. Vickie announced that Kofi and Miz would team up against the Prime Rime Players.

3. The Prime Time Players defeated The Miz and Kofi Kingston. Typical match early on. Kofi slapped Miz's chest hard and Miz stared him down. Lots of "we want Kofi" chants. Kofi got back in and the crowd went mental. Kofi went to tag and Miz jumped down again. Miz walked away and then ran back and tagged himself in. Miz smacked Kofi and then went to put the Figure Four on him. Titus and Kofi gave him a Trouble in Paradise into Titus's finisher for the win. The Players and Kofi did the Millions of Dollars dance together in the ring.

A Believe in The Shield promo aired.

4. Bad News Barrett beat Tyson Kidd. Man, it's great to see Kidd back in action live. There were Tyson chants throughout the match. Pretty boring match early. Man, Tyson has skills, they need to bring back the cruiserweight belt. Barrett won with a bull hammer when Tyson jumped off the top rope.

The steel cage was set up and it was announced that a 6-man tornado tag match was going to happen in it. The only way to win is every member of the team to escape the cage.

5. Daniel Bryan and The Uso Brothers defeated The Wyatt Family in a six-man cage match. OMG, the yes chants for Bryan. Bray Wyatt came out with a butcher apron on, which was pretty cool. Amazing back and forth match. It was my first time seeing a tornado tag match live. Jimmy Uso escaped first. Bray Wyatt left next. Jay Uso and Erick Rowen escaped at same time. Bryan hit the running knee and tried to escape, but Rowan slammed the cage door on Bryan's head. Bryan successfully escape the cage for the win.

Intermission

6. Big E Langston defeated Damien Sandow and R-Truth in a Triple Threat to retain the Intercontinental Title. Right when the match started, Sandow ran off and exited to the back. He came back. It was a very back a forth match between all three of them. Great match. Langston won with The Big Ending.

Mark Henry vs. Fandango in a fan votes led to a dance off. Lame. A Sexual Chocolate chant started and Henry was laughing. Fandango danced first and got booed out of the arena basically. Henry danced to Billy Jean. The crowd went nuts. Fandango attacked Henry, who hit the World's Strongest Slam and then continued to dance. Huge pop for Henry.

7. C.M. Punk defeated The Shield in a handicap match. The crowd went absolutely insane for Punk!!!!  Pretty much the same style of match as TLC with punk getting beat up, followed by some of his offense, and then him getting beat up again. Punk won with the GTS and cut an amazing promo afterwards to send the fans home happy.

WWE is returning to Chicago March 3 for Raw.

Biggest Pops
1. CM Punk
2. Daniel Bryan
3. Dolphins Ziggler

Biggest Boos
1. Fandango
2. Ryback
3. The Shield
