8/10 WWE Raw in Salisbury, Md.: C.M. Punk faces Chris Jericho, John Cena faces Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes in a handicap match, Matt Striker back on Raw
Aug 11, 2008 - 11:06 AM

WWE Raw house show
Salisbury, Md.

1. Kane def. Matt Striker with a chokeslam.

2. D'Lo Brown defeated Charlie Haas with the Frog Splash.

3. William Regal defeated Jamie Noble.

4. Snitzky squashed Johnny Curtis. I hope that's his name -- the sound system in the building was poor so we really never heard is name clearly, and nobody I sat with knew who he was either!)

5. Kofi Kingston defended the Intercontinental Title by beating Santino Marella.

6. Mickie James def. Katie Lea Burchill.

7. John Cena defeated DiBiase & Rhodes in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match when Rhodes tapped out to the STFU.

8. CM Punk defended the World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Chris Jericho in a No-Disqualification Match (voted on by the fans texting in their choice of match).

Biggest Pops of the Night: (1) John Cena (love him or hate him, he blew the roof off the place when he came out!), (2) Mickie James, (3) CM Punk

Biggest Heel Heat: (1) Santino Marella (who was FUNNY as hell!), (2) Chris Jericho, (3) Snitzky (because his match was BORING -- you should have seen the people getting up and leaving!)

Other notes: The attendance was around 3,300-3,400 fans (in a 5,500 seat arena -- nice crowd for a Sunday afternoon)...more interaction with the audience than last time they were in the area -- texting in to choose the main event stipulations, picking kids to be Guest Manager and Guest Bell Ringer, Kelly Kelly in the audience for some giveaways, etc...like him or hate him -- when John Cena comes out, the crowd goes nuts! Cheers, screams, boos, whatever -- they were making noise from the time his music hit until he went back behind the curtain!
