3/24 WWE Smackdown in Bowling Green: Wrestler claims he's the final member of John Laurinaitis's team at WrestleMania 28, Sheamus suffers a cut on the back of his head
Mar 25, 2012 - 04:23 PM

WWE Smackdown live event
Bowling Green, Ky.
Report by Dot Net reader Zach Coy

1. Great Khali defeated Jinder Mahal. It was a pretty good match to start the show. Khali got a good pop from the crowd. Mahal got a good amount of heat also.

2. Tyson Kidd defeated Hunico (w/Camacho). After the match, Cody Rhodes ran out and attacked Tyson.

Daniel Bryan appeared on the monitor talking about how hard it was to find vegan food in Bowling Green, Ky. He said that's why everybody here is fat. He said that Teddy Long put him in a Triple Threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship later in the night and said he would defeat Big Show and Randy Orton.

3. Drew McIntyre defeated Ezeckiel Jackson. Before the match Drew announced that he would be the person to fill the remaining spot on Team Jonny. After the match, Cody Rhodes ran out and performed the CrossRhodes on Ezekiel Jackson.

4. Sheamus defeated Mark Henry in a street fight. Before the match, Mark Henry talked about Lexington and Louisville having distinguished basketball teams and said what do y'all have - the WKU Hilltoppers? He laughed. This caused a lot of boos. It was a very good match. There were a lot of chairs and kendo sticks involved. At one point, Henry charged Sheamus while he was in the corner and Sheamus dodged and Henry went head first into a chair wedged in the turnbuckles. Daniel Bryan ran out and nailed Sheamus in the back of the head with the title belt. After the match, Sheamus got out of the ring and went backstage pretty quickly. I and people around me saw blood coming from the back of his head from that hit.

5. Alicia Fox and Tamina defeated Natalya and Beth Pheonix.

6. Cody Rhodes defeated Justin Gabriel to retain the Intercontinental Championship.

7. Daniel Bryan defeated Big Show and Randy Orton in a Triple Threat match to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. Very, very good main event. Big Show and Orton worked together at the beginning of the match. At one point, Randy and Bryan worked together to suplex the Big Show. At the end, Orton RKO'd Show and went for the cover. Bryan grabbed Orton and threw him into the ring post. Bryan covered Show for the win.

After the match, Rhodes ran out and attacked Big Show, then Show got ahold of Rhodes and Bryan and was about to do a double chokeslam when Randy motioned Big Show to give him Bryan. Show shoved Bryan at Randy and he gave him an RKO, then Big Show gave Cody Rhodes a huge chokeslam. Then Big Show and Randy Orton celebrated together in the ring to end the show.

Overall it was a pretty good show. Love the street fight and the main event.

Biggest Pops:
Randy Orton (defeaning)
Big Show (defeaning)
Sheamus ( very loud)
Justin Gabriel

Most Heat:
Daniel Bryan
Mark Henry
Cody Rhodes
Drew Mcintyre
