WWE Raw live event
Glasgow, Scotland at Braehead Arena
Report by Dot Net reader Elliot Jack (thanks also to Will Walsh for sending results)

Just back from the show in Braehead, Glasgow which was pretty epic if I might say so.
Both myself and my girlfriend, Shona Blair enjoyed it!!

Justin Roberts came out to start the show with shameless promotion of The Chaperone then introduced Evan Bourne who got a decent pop followed by Alex Riley who is clearly getting great rub from Miz, as he was greeted with a cascade of jeers.

1. Evan Bourne beat Alex Riley. Bourne started off in the usual  fashion with kicks but A-Ri quickly cut him off with a vicious clothesline. Riley worked over Bourne, who showed signs of life to get the crowd going. In the end, Riley began chanting "This is too easy," which was met with an inevitable Shooting Star Press for the win.

2. Percy Watson beat Tyson Kidd. Kidd was actually met with a significant volume of boos (his hair was extra ridiculous this evening) and Watson got next to no reaction but managed to hype the crowd. Kidd hit his signature offense before Percy mounted a comeback and won with a smooth facebuster/neckbreaker for the win...nobody really cared and the match was pretty bland.

Roberts introduced Melina, who came to the ring to boos when she failed to pronounce Glasgow correctly. She selected four crowd members (or "members of the WWE Universe" if you want to be corny) for a contest later in the show.

3. Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov (w/Tamina) beat The Usos. Santino and Kozlov got a huge reaction and the crowd were nonplussed when Usos came out. Mainly the Usos worked over Kozlov and then Santino hit his signature moves and The Cobra (which got a major pop) for the victory in about four minutes.

4. John Morrison beat Dolph Ziggler. Superb Match. Ziggler looks more and more impressive every time and he garners magnificent heat. Morrison was met with some cheers and won the crowd over with flashy offense. Ziggler hit the Fameasser, but Morrison came back with a Flash Kick and Starship Pain (which almost missed) for the win!

5. Randy Orton beat C.M. Punk in a Fan Choice 'Street Fight'. Match of the night. Orton is an impressive physical specimen and Punk is just gold. Hilarious moment where he went to launch his shirt into crowd then dropped it on the floor so nobody could reach it! Punk hit his signature offense and used a kendo stick and a chair to dismantle Orton.

Orton came back with the clothesline powerslam routine but was quickly cut off when Punk used Orton's signature DDT from second rope. Punk went for GTS, but Orton countered into a back breaker. He went for the Punt kick but Punk took away the knee, went for GTS but Orton escaped and hit RKO for the win. (Shona says she saw David Otunga appear at some point but I never. I would trust her, but she's 4 foot 6)

6. Brie Bella beat Eve to retain the WWE Divas Championship. I didn't really care so used this as a break. Brie won with a facebuster.

There was a dance contest featuring the four audience members...Yawn.

INTERMISSION

7. Sin Cara beat Primo. Pretty much same match from Raw. Cara looked impressive but botched a few times. He won with a sunset flip powerbomb.

Sheamus came out to no music and said he wanted to congratulate Cara for making an impact. He struck Cara with the U.S. Title and beat him down until Cara mounted a comeback and Sheamus slithered into the corner (Shona is a massive Sheamus fan and had a bit of a fit at this point). As Cara was backing up ramp, Daniel Bryan's music hit and he came to the ring with Gail Kim.

8. Sheamus beat Daniel Bryan to retain the U.S. Championship. Decent match. Bryan had the LeBell lock in and one point but Sheamus got the ropes, eventually hitting the Brough Kick for clean win.

Roberts announced the main event (whilst plugging the latest Cena DVD)

9. John Cena beat The Miz (w/Alex Riley) via DQ. Miz came out with  Riley wearing a new t-shirt with 40 on the back. He said he was the 40th WWE Champion and there would never be a 41st. Cena came out to a mixed reaction. Good match if I'm honest, but I'm not the biggest Cena fan about. Cena hit the four moves he knows so well and locked in the STF.

Riley was sent to the back for interfering and Cena hit AA. Miz kicked out at two and shortly after hit the SCF. Cena kicked out and went for AA when Riley reappeared and Miz struck Cena with the briefcase (why does he still carry that?) for the DQ. They beat on Cena until R-Truth came out and rid of A-Ri, then Cena hit Miz with AA to send crowd home happy.
