7/24 WWE Raw in Shreveport, La.: Sheamus vs. John Cena in a lumberjack match with Nexus as the lumberjacks, anonymous Raw general manager chimes in and orders a title match, Chris Jericho has a young fan removed from the building

WWE Raw house show
Shreveport, La. at Hirsch Coliseum
Report by Dot Net reader "Stump"

I took my seven year-old to watch Raw World Tour. The floor area was full; the bowl was probably 1/3 full. There were John Cena shirts everywhere.

1. Vladimir Kozlov and Santino Marella defeated Zack Ryder and William Regal. Decent match. Not as much comedy as I expected, but Santino hit the cobra on Regal for the win.

The Miz came out and cut a promo about winning MITB and said he won’t defend the U.S. title until he cashes in and wins the WWE Championship. The Raw General Manager tone hit and Justin Roberts read an email saying Miz would defend the U.S. title right now against Mark Henry.

2. The Miz defeated Mark Henry to retain the U.S. Title. Miz won by using the belt to hit Henry when the ref was distracted after trying to use the MITB briefcase.

3. Golddust defeated Ted DiBiase (w/Maryse). DiBiase cut a promo saying he was worn out from playing golf and offered Goldust $2,000 to just leave the building. Golddust took the money then hit DiBiase and the match ensued.

4. The Hart Dynasty defeated The USOs (w/Tamina) to retain the Unified Tag straps. The Harts got a huge pop when they came out. Really good match probably best of the night.

5. Evan Bourne defeated Chris Jericho. During the match, a small kid threw his drink on Jericho, who got on the mic and demanded that the kid be removed from the building. Security escorted the boy and his father out.  Evan won with Air Bourne, which is an awesome move.

6. Alicia Fox defeated Eve Torres to retain the WWE Divas Championship. Snoozer match. The crowd was dead for the whole match.

7. Randy Orton defeated Edge in a “Louisiana Street Fight." They took it out in the crowd for about half the match, Edge brought out several items from under the ring. Orton threw the steps in the ring and tried to use them on Edge but ended up hitting his head on them. Orton won it with the RKO.

8. Sheamus fought John Cena to a no-contest when Nexus interfered in a WWE Championship match. I thought the roof was gonna blow off that place when Cena’s music hit. As Justin Roberts was about to do the ring announcements, the Raw General Manager tone hit. Another email was read stating this will be a Lumberjack match and the lumberjacks would be The Nexus. The Nexus came out and took their positions around the ring.

Every time Cena was thrown out the beat on him, when Sheamus was thrown out they  gathered around him as to gang up on him but he ended up shaking hands with Wade Barrett. At one point, Barrett was on the apron and Sheamus accidently ran into him. Anytime Sheamus was outside the ring after that, Nexus roughed him up.

The match ended when the Nexus all jumped in the ring and beat on Cena as Sheamus ran to the back. Then Santino, Kozlov, and  Bourne came to help, but that wasn’t enough. Orton’s music hit and he, David Smith, Tyson Kid, and Goldust came in and run off the Nexus. Afterward, they all celebrated in the ring together.

Very good show, much better than when they had the “SuperShow” back in January.

Biggest Pop
1 John Cena no doubt (I didn’t hear one booo for him)
2 Randy Orton
3  tie between Evan Bourne and the Hart Dynasty

Most Heat
1 Sheamus
2 Jerico
3 The Miz
