5/3 WWE Smackdown in Moncton: Batista vs. Edge, Ted DiBiase Jr. appears, Hardy vs. MVP
May 4, 2008 - 11:19 AM

WWE Smackdown house show report
Moncton, N.B.
Report by ZAH of www.WorldWrestlingInsanity.com

About 3,500-4,000 live attendance. Lots of empty seats.

1. Matt Hardy defeated MVP with the Twist of Fate to retain the U.S. Title.

2. Kofi Kingston defeated Matt Striker after his kick to the head. Striker sold it for two to three minutes afterwards as if he were knocked unconscious.

3. John Morrison & The Miz defeated Jimmy Wang Yang & Shannon Moore to retain the WWE Tag Titles when Miz pinned Moore with his feet on the ropes.

4. Kelly Kelly won a Diva "best body" contest over Cherry, Natalya, Lena, and Maryse. Being from the area, Maryse probably actually won, but it's not like they're gonna put the heel over like that).

5. Kenny Dykstra pinned Ted DiBiase Jr. by reversing the Million Dollar Dream into a roll-up.

6. Finlay & Jamie Noble (w/Hornswoggle) defeated Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins.

7. C.M. Punk defeated Mike Knox and Chuck "K.O." Palumbo in a triple threat match after hitting the GTS on Knox.

8. Big Show & Kane defeated Chavo Guerrero & Bam Neely.

9. Batista defeated Edge in a no-DQ match. The fans voted on the stips via text message and selected the no-DQ over a best of three falls match and falls count anywhere match.

Biggest Pops: Batista, Big Show, Hornswoggle, Matt Hardy

Biggest Heat: Edge, Chavo Guerrero, MVP
