WWE Live Event
Melbourne, Australia
Report by Dot Net reader Shane Hadley

We went along to the Melbourne Wwe Live Event tonight. I was lucky enough to go to the preshow meet and great with about 20 other fans. It turned out to be Zack Ryder (much to the little kids disappointment). I mentioned I enjoyed his youtube show which got a smile out of him at least.

1. The Miz defeated Antonio Cesaro. Miz came out in the local teams AFL singlet (I'm from New Zealand so don't know what team). Miz won with the figure four.

2. Natalya beat Aksana. Basic divas match with the first chants of the night for Justin Roberts. Natalya won with the sharpshooter

3. Great Khali beat Jinder Mahal. Khali won with the chop, then danced with some kids.

4. John Cena defeated Ryback in a tables match to retain the WWE Championship. The crowd seemed about 50/50 when it came to Cena. He won with an AA through the table.

5. Curtis Axel beat Zack Ryder and Heath Slater in a Triple Threat to retain the Intercontinental Title. A woman two seats in front of me (the front row) flashed Curtis before the bell rang and through out the match. He was blowing kisses at her.
Axel won after Zack Ryder hit a Rough Rider on Heath Slater, and Curtis pushed him into the corner post. Ryder hit a Axel with a Rough Rider after the match to leave the crowd happy.

6. Dean Ambrose fought Daniel Bryan to a no-contest in a U.S. Title match. The crowd got to choose between a submission match and a Melbourne Street Fight. After the use of a few weapons, The Shield interfered, which brought out Kane and then John Cena. This turned the match into....

7. Daniel Bryan, Kane and John Cena beat The Shield. The crowd was hot for Kane and popped huge when he was finally tagged in. Bryan, Kane, and Cena won after a suicide dive, AA, and a chokeslam combo. Overall, it was a good show and the crowd left happy.
