WWE SuperShow
Omaha, Neb. at Qwest Center
Report by Dot Net reader Chris Wagner of Hastings, Neb. (been watching
wrestling for 20 years, since I was six)

I'd estimate around 8,000 people in the Qwest Center. A very solid and extremely hot crowd (partly because the WWE doesn't visit Nebraska often.) I sat second row from the ring.

1. Christian defeated Cody Rhodes. with the Killswitch in an excellent opener
that kept the crowd in it the entire way.

2. Santino Marella defeated Zack Ryder. Santino won with the "Cobra" in a short "comedy" match.

3. The Miz defeated Mark Henry and Evan Bourne in a Triple Threat. Miz won with the Skull Crushing Finale on Bourne. The finish came after Bourne hit the "Air Bourne" on Henry. Miz played up very well to the crowd as the chicken heel, and everyone loved the Air Bourne maneuver...awesome in person.

4. The Hart Dynasty defeated The Usos to retain the Unified Tag Titles. The Harts won when David Hart Smith used the Sharpshooter on one of the Usos. Nothing too amazing, but again the crowd was pretty into it.

5. John Morrison defeated Ted DiBiase (w/Maryse) with the Starship Pain. Both of these men have "star" written on them. Might I add Maryse looks spectacular in person!

Intermission

6. Kofi Kingston defeated Matt Hardy, Drew McIntire, and Dolph Ziggler in a Fatal Fourway to retain the Intercontinental Title. Kofi hit the "Trouble in Paradise" on Dolph. Ziggler, who was down for a while. I assume he was just selling the kick, or at least I hope so. Another solid match.

7. Alicia Fox defeated Eve Torres to retain the WWE Divas Championship. Not much to say here. Both women are good athletes, but they need work on timing and need more time put into the division to make them better.

8. John Cena, Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton, and Big Show fought Sheamus, Edge, Jack Swagger, and Chris Jericho to a no-contest when The Nexus interfered. A very entertaining match. The "babyface" locker room emptied to clear Nexus from the ring.

Most Heat:
1) Miz
2) Cody Rhodes
3) Ted DiBiase
The main event heels weren't booed as much, probably because it was the main event without any talking to help.

Biggest Pop:
1) John Cena. I could not hear myself think. Absolutely amazing. Anyone who thinks the WWE should turn him heel is out of their mind. He's a money maker and everyone loved him.
2) Randy Orton
2a) Rey Mysterio
The crowd went nuts for both Orton and Mysterio, but Cena's ovation even put them to shame.

Notes: This was my second ever Nebraska WWE show (I've been to two Wrestlemanias and several Pittsburgh, PA shows) and was very impressed. The crowd rocked and all of the wrestlers worked really hard, especially with the Money in the Bank PPV less than 24 hours away.
