3/1 WWE in Cedar Rapids results: Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns vs. Big Show and Kofi Kingston leads to another Wyatt Family vs. The Shield showdown, plus Alexander Rusev vs. Zack Ryder

Pretty packed house for WWE tonight.

1. Dolph Ziggler beat Damien Sandow. Good opener, crowd was behind Ziggler, these two work very well together.

2. Alexander Rusev beat Zack Ryder. Poor Ryder can’t even get a win at house shows.

3. Natalya beat AJ Lee in a non-title match with the Sharpshooter. The match was original supposed to be for the Divas Championship, but AJ came out and cut a promo saying Vickie said she didn’t have to defend it. Heck of a match between these two. The fans also started a CM Punk chant during the beginning of the match.

4. Sheamus and The Uso’s beat The Wyatt Family. A fun six-man tag team match.

Intermission

R-Truth came out afterward to announce a dance off between Xavier Woods and Jinder Mahal. Xavier Woods won the dance off. This led to a match between Truth and Mahal.

5. R-Truth beat Jinder Mahal. Nothing to special about this one.

6. Big Show and Kofi beat Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. I was kind of surprised Rollins didn’t get a bigger pop considering he’s from Davenport, Iowa, which is about an hour and a half from here. We tried getting some Rollins chants going but no luck. A fun match between the two teams. Afterwards, The Wyatts came down and squared off the the members of the Shield and the two teams brawled for a few minutes. A nice fun brawl with the Shield getting the upper hand.

7. Daniel Bryan beat Kane in a steel cage match. Fun match between the two.

A fun show. WWE was also still selling CM Punk merch at the event, which kind of took me by surprise. There’s still clearly hope that he will return. Overall, a fun show from WWE crew.
