Shore’s Slant: Fun opening match. All four of these wrestlers are good workers, and it showed here. The problem of course, is no one cares about their characters. That's a shame too, because we should see more of these guys.

Back from commercial, Carlito made his ring entrance. He chewed the apple in the ring while Masters and Eve made their entrance. Carlito spit the apple in Masters's face before the match started. Masters just stared at him...

2. Chris Masters (w/Eve Torres) defeated Carlito at 3:13. The bell rang and Masters knocked Carlito down. He hit a body slam and Carlito slid to the floor. Masters followed and worked Carlito, but Carlito pushed him back into the post. He rolled Masters in the ring and worked the back.

He charged in and Carlito jumped over him and hit a drop kick from behind. Carlito went for a bronco buster, but Masters moved and slapped on the Masterlock for the win. He celebrated with Even after the match...The Ask a Diva video aired...[C]

Shore’s Slant: A good but short match. Jason said the live crowd was hot for Masters, but it didn't come across that hot on TV. You would think the sound would be better with three days to cut the tape. I'm still not sold on Masters as a face, but Americans love dancing things. Dancing pets, dancing babies, and now dancing pecs. God bless the USA.

Back from commercial, Jimmy Wang Yang and Slam Master J made their ring entrance as Todd Grisham and Matt Striker took over on commentary. Knox and Haas were out next...

3. Jimmy Wang Yang and Slam Master J defeated Mike Knox and Charlie Haas at 3:59. Haas and J started. J reversed an arm drag and hit a drop kick on Haas. Haas tagged in Knox who hit the flying bear. Haas turned around into a back body drop.

[Q3]Yang made the hot tag and worked his offense. He took a swipe at Knox and hit a kick. He covered and Knox made the save. J and Yang hit a double drop kick to send Knox to the floor, and then J hit a plancha. In the ring. Haas whipped Yang to the corner. Tank ran up and hit a moonsault for the win...The announce team hyped the main event...[C]

Shore’s Slant: Remember Battle Bowl? Where they paired up random guys to get a title shot? This is what this feels like. Yang and Jeezy was bizarre, but Haas and Knox. WTF? An OK match that was overshadowed by the “Who the hell is making tag teams?” question up in the air.

Back from commercial, the Raw Rebound video aired...Ringside, Josh Matthews and Byron Saxton took over on the headsets. Christian made his entrance and the announce team hyped his match for next...[C]

Back from commercial, an Ezekiel Jackson hype video played. He and Knox should be the Creepy Voice tag team...The announce team hyped the ECW title match at the Royal Rumble. Regal and the aforementioned Jackson were out next...

[Q4]4. Christian defeated William Regal (w/Ezekiel Jackson) at 13:06. Collar and elbow tie up led to a clean break by Christian. Regal got a head lock out of the next lock up and it led to some great chain wrestling. Christian ducked a clothesline and hit a strike and then a slam for two. Zeke jumped up on the apron and Christian hit him. Regal tried to take advantage and Christian rolled him up for two. Zeke jumped back up on the apron and the ref ejected him from ringside. Regal looked concerned and Jackson backed up the ramp into the break...[C]

Back at 7:44, Christian hit a snap mare and then tried for a whip, but Regal reversed to the corner. The two men battled and Christian went to the top. Regal pushed Christian off the top to the floor, and Christian hit his head awkwardly on the apron as he fell. Really scary moment. Christian made it back in the ring and Regal choked him on the ropes. He set Christian on the top and Christian slapped Regal away. He climbed to the top and hit a cross body for two. Christian hit a missile drop kick and went back to the top. He missed a diving headbutt.

Christian tried for Kill Switch, but Regal countered with a reverse T-bone slam for two, two counts. Regal tried for the Knee Trembler, but Christian moved. Christian tried for a sunset flip, but Regal dropped the knees and held the ropes. The ref saw it and broke the count. Christian tried for the Kill Switch again, and Regal reversed into the Regal Stretch. Christian elbowed out and Regal tried for a double underhook slam, but Christian reversed and hit the Kill Switch for the win. Christian celebrated to end the show...

Shore’s Slant: The wrestling before the break was better than after, but a very good match to close a very good show. I like that Jackson got some TV time and the the hype video of the week. If they want him to be a star, they have to give him the star treatment. Regal and Christian are old pros, and proved it here. A rare event tonight, a good four match Superstars. I'll have more tomorrow on the hitlist. Thanks for reading and I'll see you then.
