[Q1]The opening video aired, followed by the pyro, and R-Truth made his lame entrance. Ricky Ortiz was out next. Michael Cole and Jim Ross officially welcomed us to Superstars. Ortiz said the truth was every one needed to rally up. He said his hand would be what’s up at the end of the match…

1. R-Truth defeated Ricky Ortiz at 12:00. Ortiz worked power strikes on Truth. Truth came back and hit his flying heel kick for two. He placed Ortiz in the corner and climbed up for ten punches. Ortiz basically powerbombed him off and tossed him from the ring. Truth recovered into the break…[C]

Back from commercial, Truth worked on the lower back. He locked in a single leg crab. Truth reached the rope and Ortiz broke. He hit a belly to back lift to a backbreaker for two. Cool move. Ortiz went back to the single leg crab. Truth made the ropes again and Ortiz broke. He continued to work the back with strikes and kicks. He locked in a Camel Clutch with a knee in the back. Truth got to one knee and Ortiz switched to a sleeper. He slammed Truth’s face to the mat and then hit a double axe handle on the back from the second rope.

Ortiz stood Truth up and he punched out. Truth whipped Ortiz, but he grabbed the ropes and Truth missed a dropkick. Ortiz covered for two and went back to his version of the Camel Clutch. Truth fought out, but Ortiz hit a spinning sidewalk slam. He went for the Big O but missed. Truth worked his offense and missed the axe kick, but ducked a clothesline attempt and hit the Lie Detector for the win.

[Q2]Postmatch, a video recapped the match. Truth danced like an idiot in the ring to the fans cheers…Backstage, Mr. McMahon was on the phone talking about the Triple Threat match for the WWE. Hornswoggle ran in followed by Chavo. Chavo said Horny had bit him. McMahon put them in a match. Chavo said he was much bigger than Horny and Vince said Chavo had to wrestle on his knees. They shook hands and Chavo tried to crush his hand and Horny bit him again and ran…[C]

Shore’s Slant: They opened with Ortiz/Truth? That’s not the main event? Holy crap! Ortiz’s character is a tool and I hate it. But he is real athletic and getting better all the time and this match wasn’t too bad. Look for good things from this kid. Please don’t let the Hornswoggle match be the main event. Please.

Back from commercial, Woo Woo Woo made his entrance…

Shore’s Slant: Aw God da….

Josh Matthews and Matt Striker took over commentary duties. Tyler Reks surfed his way to the ring next…

2. Zack Ryder defeated Tyler Reks at 14:05. Ryder hid in the ropes to start. Reks worked the arm. Ryder tried to hip toss out, but Reks rolled through and hit a hip toss of his own. Matthews asked Striker why he called Ryder a tool and if he would say it to his face. Striker said he was retired so he would just let it go. Matthews asked him what he was retired from, teaching? Funny. Reks continued to work the arm. Ryder whipped Reks to the ropes. He tried to kick up for Ryder to run under, but Ryder kick Reks in the stomach. He kicked him from the ring and Reks recovered into the break…[C]

[Q3]Back at 8:44 and Ryder had a reverse chin lock on Reks. Reks escaped and Ryder worked strikes to keep control. He went back to the reverse chin lock. Reks fought out and hit a roll up for two. Ryder worked heel moves, choking him on the ropes. He kicked Reks in the chest and covered for two. Ryder locked in a seated abdominal stretch. Neat looking move. Reks fought out and ducked a missile dropkick. He hit a one man flapjack and covered for two. They ran the ropes and Reks hit his sliding stomach punch.

Ryder hit the stomach and attempted the Zack Attack, but Reks countered into a Jackknife for two. Ryder hit a flapjack onto the tope rope and followed with a successful Zack Attack for the win. Post match, a video recapped the end of the match…The announce team hyped the Hornswoggle Main Event. How the hell is that even allowed to be a sentence?…

Shore’s Slant: Jeez, how did they manage to make both of these guys look like tools? I like them both in the ring. Bust Reks is stupid and Ryder makes me want to kill myself. I cannot adequately express how much I hate his gimmick because the English language does not contain words with so deep a connotation. I should get overtime for covering this show tonight.

Back from commercial, a video hyped Alfonso Soriano’s love of John Cena…Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler were on commentary. They introed the Raw Rebound video.

[Q4]The Raw Rebound video was Cena vs. Hunter and the announcement of the triple threat match…Chavo made his ring entrance…[C]

Back from commercial, Lillian announced Chavo and repeated the rule that Chavo had to wrestle on is knees. Hornswoggle made his entrance…

3. Hornswoggle defeated Chavo at 4:56. Hornswoggle punked Chavo for being shorter and Chavo pushed him. Horny beat the crap out of Chavo and spilled him to the floor. You read that right. The ref mad Chavo walk up the stairs on his knees. Chavo hit a clothesline and took control. Chavo ran the ropes on his knees and stood up to do a splash. Horny kicked him in the face. Chavo hit two of three Amigos and Horny reversed the last one. Horny went to the top. Chavo jumped to his feet to stop him. He tried to do a superplex, but Horny bit him and pushed him to the mat. He hit the Tadpole Splash for the win…[C]

Shore’s Slant: Wow, Superstars hasn’t laid a turd since it debuted, but that’s over with now. Chavo is the best guy in the business to agree to do the job. I hope Smackdown isn’t this bad tomorrow night. Thanks for reading and I’ll see you then.
