Taped earlier in Laredo, Texas.

Matt Striker welcomed us to the show and announced that next week's show is the 100th episode of NXT. Striker welcomed Alicia Fox to the show, who was a pro on NXT season 3. Fox wore her head animal hood and started purring. I don't think she knows what a fox actually is.

Maxine immediately interrupted Alicia Fox. Maxine mocked her pro for returning and Maxine said Alicia Fox was a waste of space. Fox told Maxine she was belligerent and asked her who she was doing.

Maxine said it doesn't matter who or what she's doing because she always manages to end up back on her feet. Fox quipped that she thought Maxine preferred to be on her back before shoving her to the mat.

Maxine popped up and before she could get a word out, and she said she prefers being on top. Maxine tackled Fox and punched her and Matt Striker called for a referee.

1. Alicia Fox defeated Maxine in 2:10. The two worked some chain wrestling to start, but Maxine quickly got the better of Fox. Maxine targeted Fox's neck with a series of strikes and holds.

Fox managed to reverse a rollup attempt and scored the pinfall… [C]

Ryan's Rant: Good in-ring work from Maxine. I'm not sure where the opening segment came from, but it certainly wasn't PG. Still, both women managed to hold their won with what they were given, and it's more storyline than we usually get in the women's division. I'm still chuckling at the fact that Alicia Fox thinks foxes purr.

2. Trent Barreta defeated Tyler Reks (w/ Curt Hawkins) in 4:22. Reks overpowered Barreta in the early going, but Barreta quickly battled back.

Reks ran to the floor to convene with Hawkins, and Barreta went diving over the top rope after him. Reks quickly regained the advantage and went back to manhandling Barreta. Reks locked in a rest hold momentarily.

Barreta fought back and went for his version of Whisper in the Wind but Reks managed to get out of the way. Reks went for his Burning Hammer, but Barreta slipped out and rolled Reks up with a backslide to secure the victory.

After the match, Hawkins floored Barreta and choked him with his cane. Yoshi Tatsu ran out and made the save.

Backstage, Derrick Bateman was talking to Justin Gabriel about Maxine. Justin Gabriel told Bateman about the email that caused Bateman's relationship issues. Bateman screamed "CURTIS!" and stormed off… [C]

Ryan's Rant: Reks and Barreta work very well together. This was another short match that ended in a rollup, but what we got was fun while it lasted.

3. The Uso Brothers defeated JTG and Tyson Kidd in 4:07. Kidd and Jimmy started the match and Jimmy quickly took control with a throat thrust. Jey tagged into the match and Kidd tagged in JTG. The Uso Brothers quickly took control of JTG and worked quick tags to wear him down.

Jey Uso got caught when Kidd distracted him and the heels quickly took over. Kidd kicked Jet in the back and locked in a rest hold. Jey fought back with a flying forearm and got the hot tag to Jimmy.

Jimmy quickly hit JTG with a Samoan drop and hit him with the Umaga wrecking ball. Kidd broke the pin and Jey Uso quickly took him out. JTG tried jumping off of the second rope only to eat a superkick from Jimmy Uso on the way down. Jimmy covered JTG and picked up the victory… [C]

Ryan's Rant: Another very brief match, but it was a lot of fun to watch. JTG is at his best when he is in a tag team environment, and the Uso Brothers really got a chance to shine.

The Raw Rebound focused on the story involving Kane stalking and attacking Zack Ryder and John Cena.

Backstage, Aksana was talking to Maxine. Derrick Bateman showed up and shooed away Aksana. Bateman kept trying to explain himself, but Maxine was busy talking about her new fiancé. She left before he had a chance to speak... [C]

4. Johnny Curtis (w/ Maxine) defeated Alex Riley in 2:04. Riley controlled he contest to start, and Curtis ran to the floor to cuddle with Maxine. When Curtis returned to the ring, he got the better of Riley.

Moments later, Curtis hit a huge brainbuster and got the surprise pin.

Derrick Bateman made his way to the stage and told Riley that he knows that Curtis did, and next week, this ends… [C]

Ryan's Rant: It's pretty rough when you go from coming out to the ring with the WWE champion to jobbing to rookies on NXT. Poor Alex Riley.

Back from the break, Darren Young made his way to the ring and bragged about all of the people he's attacked the past few weeks and he referred to himself as the baddest man on NXT. Young said that he heard a rumor that Titus O'Neill was in the ring, but he knew he wouldn't come out. He ran through his catch phrase and O'Neill's terrible music played.

O'Neill made his way to the ring and Young mocked O'Neill and he called him a loser just like the fans in Laredo. O'Neill referred to the fans as dogs and barked. O'Neill said he was back and he told Young to be real. O'Neill said this competition was about men that wanted to make it as WWE Superstars.

O'Neill spoke candidly about the challenges that the contestants went through, and he derided Matt Striker for giving up on them. O'Neill talked about the Redemption points and he said he doesn't really care about those anymore, and then O'Neill mentioned that there's no one else out there.

O'Neill told Young they should deal with their issue man to man tonight. Young said he's already beaten O'Neill on several occasions and he could take his demeanor and shove it. Young said that this show was better when O'Neill was at home complaining and apologizing to his stupid kids.

O'Neill almost lost his cool and he told Young to watch his tone. Young again insulted O'Neill's kids and O'Neill tried to set some boundaries for their exchange. O'Neill said Young will not talk about his kids without getting the hell beat out of him.

Young referred to O'Neill's kids as quitters and O'Neill attacked Young. Matt Striker made a match between the two men next week in a no disqualification match. Several referees tried to separate the men but they continued to fight as the show went off of the air.

Ryan's Rant: Once O'Neill got past his obligatory barking, he was very good. Young still comes off as a robot trying to impersonate a human heel rather than a living breathing person with actual emotional inflection, but he did well enough in setting up O'Neill for his various points.

The wrestling on this show was nothing to write home about, but it served as a decent source of entertainment for this viewer. If you have some time to kill, I think there's plenty here to enjoy and there's nothing that really annoyed me about this show. Not spectacular, but far from being unentertaining.
