6/23 Kester's WWE Superstars Live Coverage: Melina vs. Gail Kim, The Tag Champions in action, and a six-Diva tag match

WWE Superstars on WWE.com
Taped earlier in Hershey, Pa and Baltimore, Md.

1. Natalya, Kaitlyn, and AJ beat Rosa Mendes, Alicia Fox, and Tamina in 5:21. Natalya and Alicia Fox started the match and ten second ins Natalya was going for the sharpshooter. It's going to be a long show. Tamina quickly tagged in and the girls had a staredown in the middle of the ring.

Natalya quickly took control and tagged in Kaitlyn who worked power moves for a moment before the heels got the better of her. Late in the match, AJ got the hot tag and went to work on Alicia Fox. Fox went for her scissor kick but missed, and AJ took advantage with a schoolboy for the win… [C]

Ryan's Rant: Kaitlyn is not ready for the ring whatsoever. Everything she does is clunky and she still has a long way to go before she can go in the ring. As it stands, she just looks dangerous.

Back from commercial, the announcers took us to Raw and aired most of the elimination tag main event from Raw… [C]

Ryan's Rant: I am not a fan of replaying matches. The show is already online so there's no reason for ten minutes worth of filler.

2. Gail Kim beat Melina in 3:57. The two worked some chain wrestling to start and Melina got her Matrix spot in early. Melina went for a move from the corner and faked a knee injury. Gail, naturally, fell for it and Melina made her pay.

Melina started screaming at Gail as she went for several moves, most of which Gail countered. Gail finallt got fired up and hit a series of kicks and high risk moves that ended with a missile dropkick that left both women lying on the mat. Melina got up first and went for the Sunset Split only for Gail to score a roll-up for the win… [C]

Ryan's Rant: Decent enough match but there was no real momentum to it and the match really suffered because of it. These two didn't have enough time and what little they did was ruined by constant unentertaining screaming from Melina.

The Raw Rebound focused on R-Truth's conspiracy theory. It's the same one they showed last week so if you've seen it once; you've seen it a hundred times… [C]

3. WWE Tag Champs David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty beat Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov in 8:38. Otunga and Santino started and Santino hit his comedy offense complete with Ultimate Warrior impression… [C]

Back from the break, Otunga had Santino in a rest hold. Santino battled back and got the hot tag to Kozlov who quickly cleaned house. He went for a pin, Otunga interfered, Santino fought him off, and the rest of the participants hit a triple clothesline in a cool spot.

Santino tried to attack McGillicutty only for Utunga to interfere and set him up for the McGillicutter, if it's still being called that, which led him to the victory.

Ryan's Rant: Why is the world "ruthless" on McGillicutty's trunks? He has some of the most lackluster offense I have ever seen and his finisher consists of HBK's old desperation neckbreaker.

Anyway, that was another lackluster match to round out a completely boring show. There were a few things wrong, but the worst thing about the entire show was that it all felt like snippets of filler from shows that actually matter. This was compounded by the asinine idea of showing almost an entire twenty-minute match from Raw on an online show. Ugh.

Thank tyou for following along with me this week and I will see you back here next week. Feel free to stop by at 8:00 pm CT tonight for my live coverage of TNA Impact.
