The show opened with a video that recapped Lucky Cannon's storyline with Maryse, followed by the normal show open that highlights Jacob Novak…who was just released. Fail. Todd Grisham and William Regal checked in on commentary and sent it to Matt Striker and Maryse in the ring.

A video showed R-Truth killing Hornswoggle and he won't be on the show tonight. The hosts introduced the rookies and then ran down the redemption points. They introduced the Talk the Talk challenge for three redemption points. The topic was who should be eliminated and why.

Lucky Cannon went first and trashed Titus O'Neil. He basically called him stupid and said O'Neill wouldn't draw money. Titus responded and said all Lucky cared about was Maryse. He said Lucky calls himself De-lish, but the only thing delicious would be the sweet taste of Lucky's elimination.

Conor O'Brian went next and said Darren Young should be eliminated because he main evented SummerSlam and then blew his chance. Young said it didn't matter who went home tonight because he was going to win and they should just crown him now. He said Conor made the biggest mistake of his carrer. He punched Conor and ran to the ramp. The crowd picked Titus as the winner…[C]

Shore’s Slant: Either these guys got scripted promos for the first time, or they suddenly learned how to talk. None of them were great, but they were all passable.

1. Darren Young (w/Chavo Guerrero) defeated Yoshi Tatsu at 11:06. Tatsu took control early and worked his fast offense. He spilled Darren Young to the floor and Young played cat and mouse to distract Yoshi before hitting a neckbreaker on the apron. Both men recovered and JTG came to the ring…[C]

Back from commercial, JTG joined the announce team and he and William Regal argued while Young worked a rest hold in the ring. Yoshi hit a kick to escape and had a moment of hope with kicks. He went to the top, but Chavo distracted him and Young slammed him off the top for the pinfall victory.

Post-match, JTG attacked Yoshi. Yoshi no sold it for a moment and then Chavo and Young grabbed Yoshi to stop him. Vladimir Kozlov and Conor O'Brian ran out to make the save…

Shore’s Slant: Lackluster match. If both Conor and Young make it through the night there's your six man mat for next week. You heard it here first.

The announce team setup a video that recapped the current feud with John Cena and R-Truth…Backstage, Maryse apologized for slapping Lucky Cannon last week. He said it was OK,s tuff happens. She said she gave her ripped purse to a guy to fix and gave him Cannon's credit card. He deadpanned, "Great," as she walked off…

Lucky Cannon and Tyson Kidd made their ring entrance. Cannon said he loved what R-Truth did to Hornswoggle on Raw. He said after Horny tried to embarrass him last week, he was going to boot Horny in the head once he returned. Titus O'Neil was out next…

2. Titus O'Neill defeated Lucky Cannon (w/Tyson Kidd) at 6:30. Cannon asked where Hornswoggle was and Titus attacked. Cannon rolled to the floor to recover and hit a cheap shot on Titus when the latter came to the floor. Cannon beat on Titus to no crowd reaction. Out of nowhere, Titus hit his finisher for the win…The elimination was hyped for next…

Shore’s Slant: I didn't think anyone could care less than I do about the rookies on NXT but it turns out Providence, R.I. actually went to sleep during that match. That's impressive.

The hosts setup the elimination and then Lucky Cannon was eliminated unexpectedly. He started to cut a promo about being better than NXT and Titus grabbed a mic and had the people sing the goodbye song. Maryse cut everyone off and said this was her show and she didn't want him to leave yet.

She said she had to tell him something and said she talked to her purse guy who said the purse he gave Maryse wasn't worth $5. She called him a cheap loser and slapped him when he tried to explain. She stormed off and Lucky tried to put himself over to end the show…

Shore’s Slant: Cannon was arrested for impersonating an officer, and tonight he impersonated someone we cared about. His ugly ass robes were the only things that made him standout, and now thankfully they are gone. Just a few more weeks of this shit until…Season 6. FML.
