Taped earlier in Omaha, Nebraska and Des Moines, Iowa.

Jack Korpela and Booker T welcomed us to the show as Tyson Kidd made his entrance followed by Matt Striker on a cell phone. God help me.

1. Tyson Kidd (w/Matt Striker) beat Trent Barreta in 4:20. Trent Barreta started the match off hot and really took it to Tyson Kidd. The two battled to ringside until Tyson finally broke free and regained control by throwing Barreta into the barricade.

Back in the ring, Tyson worked over Barreta's lower back and then let the momentum die down by working a series of rest holds. Eventually, Tyson built back up some steam but lost control when he went for a springboard elbow drop that Trent got his knees up for.

Trent hit his springboard missile kick and went for a victory roll but Tyson caught him hallway through and scored the pin.

After the match, Matt Striker got into the ring and put over Tyson's ability as being "better than Bret ever was." Striker offered to be Tyson's agent and promised to take him to the next level. Tyson shook his hand and the two left the ring together… [C]

Ryan's Rant: Striker is the least believable of the three managers we've seen for Kidd, but that line about Bret should get some attention. I was actually warming up to Superstars and now they're making me listen to Booker T.

2. Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater beat The Uso Brothers in 7:20. Slater and Jimmy Uso started the match. They really need to label their trunks or something. Gabriel tagged in quickly and Jimmy started doing a Rikishi-esque dance after dodging Gabriel's attacks.

Jay tagged in and hit a Northern Lights suplex. Rapid fire tags between both team ensued. When the dust settled, the Usos hit a combo of a corner splash and Samoan thump in the corner on a prone Slater… [C]

Back from the break, the Usos retained control on Slater, but Gabriel quickly tagged in. Jay Uso spilled to the floor and Slater nailed him with an impressive clothesline. Slater tagged in and worked over jay's neck. The hells started working through rapid tags to keep jay Uso on the floor.

Eventually, Jimmy got the hot tag and again did the Rikishi dance before hitting and arm drag side slam on Gabriel . Jay tagged back in and the two hitting a double team Samoan drop on Gabriel. However, Slater interfered when Jay went for the Samoan Splash and set him up for Gabriel's 450 splash.

The announcers sent us to the Raw Rebound which focused on the crowning of the new tag team champions… [C]

Ryan's Rant: The Usos had flashes of brilliance in that match, but they really need some way to identify one from the other quickly. It's sad when the announce team has as much trouble as I do differentiating between the two. I like Jimmy's odes to his father, and if they actually had the Usos act differently from one another in the ring or have just a slightly different move set it would really benefit the both of them. As it stands, they are just the male equivalent of the Bella twins.

The new lady ring announcer made the introductions for this match as Scott Stanford and Josh Matthews checked in at ringside.

3. Gail Kim beat Melina in 4:49. In the early going, for every move Melina tried, Gail Kim had a counter. Melina screamed about how Gail was a terrible friend. What?

Melina eventually gained control and worked Gail's lower back broken up by dirty offense with chokes and hair pulls. Gail came back with an excellent Octopus hold that Stanford labeled the Flying Dragon. I like it. Melina punched out of the hold and started screaming as a form of offense. Ok, so so just screamed as she went back to choking out Gail.

Gail powered back and worked over Melina with a corner shoulder block and a missile dropkick. She sold the earlier attacks to her back, though, so Melina went for the sunset flip powerbomb. Her screaming gave Gail and opening, however, and Gail was able to hit Eat Da Feet for the win… [C]

Ryan's Rant: Gail looed solid in the ring, but Melina is just obnoxious as a heel. Those screams are tolerable when she seems to be caught up in high octane offense, but hair pulling and screaming into the camera gets old fast.

Back from the break, there was a second Raw Rebound that featured R-Truth's crazed ramblings about John Cena fans.

4. David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty beat Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov. Santino and McGillicutty started the match. Santino had a delayed pain reaction from a McGillicutty shoulder block and he tagged in Kozlov. Otunga tagged in for his team.

Kozlov and Santino worked quick tags on Otunga and Santino worked through his comedy set. Otunga managed to have McGillicutty blind tag in as Santino chased Otunga with the Cobra.

Santino then spent most of the match playing punching bag for Otunga and McGillicutty. Eventually, Santino got the hot tag and the referee was distracted long enough for McGillicutty to kick Kozlov from behind and allow Otunga to hit his finisher for the win.

Ryan's Rant: I question the wisdom of having the exact same end to both tag team matches in the evening, but it is what it is. This was the worse of the two tag matches as Santino's comedy is as stale as Kozlov's personality, and we haven't been given a reason to care about the tag titles or those that are currently carrying them for a long time. This was a flat end to an otherwise decent show. Thank you for following along with me and I will see you all next week.
