A video recapped the Titus O'Neill vs. Darren Young feud…The opening video aired and Todd Grisham put over the elimination for later and sent it to the ring with Maryse and Matt Striker with the rookies. Maryse introduced, returning for one night only, "The Voice of WWE," Michael Cole. Cole joined Grisham at ringside and went straight heel…

Shore’s Slant: Wait, no Regal and shitbag Cole? Oh come on…

Striker and Maryse ran down the Redemption point standings, where Titus has, like, a 187 point lead. They introduced a tag team turmoil match where the rookie on the winning team would win three points. Maryse said they had a chance to explain to everyone why they should stay.

Conor O'Brian said he wasn't done breaking his bones for the business yet. Lucky Cannon said he had an ace up his sleeve, and then looked at Maryse and said, "Make that a queen." Young went nuts and said he shouldn't be on NXT. He said he already headlined SummerSlam and he was a Raw star and would be challenging Cena for the title soon. Cole laughed at him.

Byron Saxton said he was the total package and the question wasn't why you should vote for Saxton, but why wouldn't you? Titus said he was bigger, badder and better. Titus said he had the best pro in NXT history and the only option was for him to make it a win. Striker said the tag team turmoil match was next and Hornswoggle made his ring entrance. Young stalked him, but Titus chased Young away…

Shore’s Slant: Um, shouldn't they have done this before the voting? I'm just saying, this is a little late now seeing as how voting closed at noon today.

1. Connor O'Brian and Vladimir Kozlov won a Tag Team Turmoil match with O'Brian earning three Redemption points at 26:12. O'Neill and Hornswoggle started against Cannon and Tyson Kidd. Hornswoggle tried to flirt with Maryse and Cannon shoved him to the floor. Titus grabbed Cannon through the ropes and Kidd hit a leg drop across the back of Titus's head. He hit a springboard elbow for the pinfall. Titus O'Neill and Hornswoggle were eliminated at 2:35. Yoshi Tatsu and Byron Saxton were out next…[C]

Yoshi worked Kidd in the ring and Saxton tagged himself in. He screamed at Yoshi to get out and said it was his time. Kidd hit a cheap shot on Saxton and he and Cannon worked in and out. Saxton recovered a few times but refused to tag Yoshi. Yoshi broke a pinfall attempt and Kidd took him out. Saxton had a moment of hope, but Cannon kicked him out of the air for the pinfall. Yoshi Tatsu and Byron Saxton were eliminated at 9:49. Vladimir Kozlov and The Rat were out next…[C]

A video recapped Kozlov hitting a fall away slam on Saxton during the break. JTG made his ring entrance as O'Brian got doubled teamed by the heels. He joined them on commentary and I fought the urge to hit the mute button. Kozlov hit the headbut spear on Cannon for the win, much to Maryse's chagrin. Lucky Cannon and Tyson kidd were eliminated at 16:29.Darren Young and Chavo Guerrero were out last…[C]

Young and Chavo destroyed O'Brian. He finally made the hot tag and Chavo oversold for Kozlov. Young hit a dirty shot on Kozlov on the floor to allow Chavo to take control on Kozlov. The heels tried to do a double suplex, but he hit a double on them and tagged O'Brian.

O'Brian was a house of fire and then all four men battled in the ring. The pros tumbled to the floor and Young lifted O'Brian for his finisher. O'Brian slid out and hit a snap back suplex for the win. JTG said that O'Brian got lucky and Kozlov had nothing to do with it…[C]

Shore’s Slant: There was some good wrestling in all of that, but Chavo Guerrero looked terrible. I mean really bad. He botched several spots and now I wonder if all the problems we saw with him and Sin Cara were really him. Never seen Chavo look that bad.

The rookies lined up outside the ring and Striker setup the elimination. Byron Saxton was eliminated and Striker asked him about it. Saxton did the "there must be a mistake" bit and then went off on the crowd. He said they would never forget this day because he was the living, breathing embodiment of what a WWE Superstar is. He stormed up the ramp to close the show…

Shore’s Slant: Color me surprised, I thought for sure it was going to be O'Brian. Saxton is probably the closest they have to a total package this year. His problem is genetics. He's short and not very big. Otherwise he's spectacular. I'll have more to say tomorrow in the hitlsit. Thanks for reading and I'll see you then.
