Feb 17, 2011 - 07:00 PM

By Adam Dunn

WWE Superstars on WGN America
Taped in Anaheim and San Diego, CA.

[Q1] The opening video aired. Jack Korpela and Matt Striker welcomed us to the show and hyped a reairing of The Rock's return later in the show. Chris Masters made his way out.

1. Chris Masters defeated Tyler Reks at 4:40. Both men tied it up to start. Masters took over and hit a body slam and went for the master lock. Reks countered with a strong boot to the face. Reks then worked over Masters in the corner. He then hit a Jake the Snake clothesline for a near fall.

Reks remained in control, hitting a modified reverse neckbreaker for another near fall. Masters made it back to his feet and back body dropped Reks over the top rope. Reks hit a snapmare on the ropes, then ran at Masters only to be the victim of a samoan drop.

At 3:40 Masters hit a flying shoulder block and the sky high spinebuster for a near fall. Reks then got caught in the master lock and passed out...The announcers hyped the tag team main event.[C]

Dunn's Decision: Are you kidding me? Seriously WWE? One of the worst booking decisions I have ever seen. There is no reason ever for Masters to go over Reks. None at all. I am so infuriated right now. Reks squashed him for three and a half minutes, then Masters comes right back and wins. What is this, a John Cena match?

Back in the arena, Josh Matthews and Scott Stanford welcomed us to the show. Yoshi Tatsu and David Hart Smith came out together.

2. Yoshi Tatsu and David Hart Smith defeated The Uso's at 10:08. Smith and Jay started things out with Smith doing some mat wrestling. The announcers immediately ignored the match and talked about how Michael Cole would break down if Lawler won the title on Sunday. Smith hit a belly to belly for a near fall.

[Q2] Smith then hit an atomic drop and did a cartwheel over to Tatsu for the tag. Really? Jimmy tagged in and nailed a headbutt on Tatsu. Jimmy ran into an arm drag and a dropkick from Tatsu. Then Tatsu hit a splash over the top onto Jimmy. [C]

Back from the break, Tatsu was down. Jay worked him over with a leg drop and side headlock. Jimmy tagged back in and hit a splash in the corner on Tatsu. The crowd booed, or made some noise. Apathy maybe? Jay tagged back in and applied another headlock. Matthews talked about how Tatsu should be focusing on tagging in Smith. Duh.

Jimmy hit a headbutt for a nearfall at 8:30. Tatsu hit a spinning heel kick, a lot like Owen Hart and tagged in Smith. Smith was a house of fire and did some dance and then hit a leg drop. Smith hit a sit down powerbomb for a nearfall. Smith got thrown into the ring post by the illegal Uso and then got rolled up for the win...The announcers hyped the Rock's return next. [C]

Dunn's Decision: I had no idea what Uso did what in the end. Matthews certainly didn't help me out. The match was pretty boring though. Tatsu played the baby face in distress for far too long. Smith's offense was less than two minutes long before the match ended. A lot of repetitive work from the Uso's in the end. And what the hell was Smith doing dancing and doing cartwheels? Painful.

[Q3]Back on the show we went right into the reairing of The Rock's return. I still get goosebumps...Santino and Kozlov came out with Tamina. [C]

[Q4] Back in the arena, the tag champs were still kicking it in the ring. Ryder and Primo came out next.

3. Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov defeated Zack Ryder and Primo at. Santino and Ryder did some early taunting. Santino showed the cobra early, freaking Ryder out. Santino worked over Ryder's arm and then tagged in Kozlov. He hit shoulder block after shoulder block in the corner on Ryder. Santino checked back in and hit a snap mare for a near fall. Ryder fought out with a side suplex.

Primo hit a straight left jab to Santino's face a few times. Santino hit a flurry of offense before Primo countered. [C]

Back at 7:02 Ryder was in control. He wrapped up Santino on the mat and Primo hit a running elbow drop for a near fall. Ryder nailed a strong forearm in the corner for another near fall. Primo tagged in and hit a snap suplex. Santino got caught in the corner again as Ryder worked over his back. Santino finally managed a tag.

Kozlov came in and cleaned house. Leveling Primo with several boots and headbutts. Santino tagged in, and hit the cobra on Primo for the win.

Dunn's Decision: Very little quality offense by Ryder and Primo. They did not look very strong at all. The fans love Santino and the cobra. There's no denying that. Primo and Ryder should have won though, to give the tag division some contenders.
